We have had golden retrievers since 1989 and the first dog bearing the name Rustic in 1996. The kennel name I chose was “Rustic". At the time all of my dogs were the dark golden color. We are members in good standing with the Golden Retriever Club of America, Western New York Golden Retriever Club, the Dog Obedience Training Club of Rochester, NY, Inc. and The United States Australian Shepherd Assoc. We actively compete in obedience, rally, agility, field and the breed ring. While, I also do enjoy competing in the other venues, my first love will always be obedience.
In the Fall of 2006, I entered into the world of the Austalian Shepherd. I decided that I wanted to try training and showing a different breed. I have always admired the Aussie. The breed is a little different than the Goldens, but are very devoted to their owners. I look forward to many years of enjoying the Aussie as I have the Goldens.
